Pick a Pink Lady Weekend is back again. Want to know more? Read below for details and FAQ’s.

When? Sat 5th and Sun 6th May 2018, from 10 am to 4 pm

Mahnew Orchard, 640 Swamp Rd Lenswood

Harrisville Orchard, 72 Harris Rd, Lenswood

Peter & Joel Brockhoff, 471 Swamp Rd, Lenswood

What can we do there? Pick your own fruit for purchase, or you can also buy other varieties of apples direct from the grower. Walk through the orchard and enjoy the autumn views – a great nature play activity for the children. Meet the grower and find out about how apples are grown. Enjoy some lovely home-made produce near the warmth of heating in the shed or throw a picnic rug out on the ground and take in the serenity.

What to bring? Warm clothes, boots or sturdy shoes and a bag or basket to pick fruit into. The forecast is looking good, however remember that temperatures in the Adelaide Hills can be a few degrees cooler than Adelaide, so rug up to make sure you can appreciate the beauty of the region.

Can I buy food and drink? Yes, there will be freshly baked apple produce such as apple crumble, apple muffins, apple slice and other warm food as well as juice, cool drinks and tea and coffee.

Are there credit card or eftpos facilities? No, so please bring along cash for any fruit, food and drink purchases as well as $5 per adult for entry, Children U/12 free. The nearest eftpos facilities are in Lobethal, Woodside and Balhannah.

Where do I park? There is space for parking on the properties, however please stick to the tracks where possible and follow parking directions if given.

Do I need to book ahead? No booking is required, however please be respectful of the opening and closing times.

Is there wheelchair and disabled access? Yes, there are flat areas surrounding the sheds at both orchards. However the terrain within the orchards themselves is undulating and uneven and toilets are portable toilets.

What else is there to do in the region? There are fabulous wineries only a short drive away where you taste some beautiful Adelaide Hills wines – Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard, Pike & Joyce and Anderson Hill are all very close and have some of the best views in South Australia. There are also many other attractions in the nearby townships such as micro-breweries, antique and second hand stores, wildlife park and nature trails.

We look forward to seeing you there!
